Russia says 4 of its soldiers die in Syria roadside bombing

The Russian military says four of its servicemen were executed in Syria when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb.

The Defense Ministry says the blast occurred as a Syrian military caravan, incorporating the vehicle with Russian military guides, was heading to the city of Homs in focal Syria last Thursday from the Tiyas air base, which is near the old town of Palmyra held by the Islamic State group.The service says the bomb was exploded by remote control. Two other Russian servicemen were injured.

The passings bring the quantity of Russian battle setbacks in Syria to 27.

No gathering has guaranteed duty regarding the assault.

Russia propelled its military operation in support of Syrian President Bashar Assad's powers in September 2015, helping his troops recapture some key ground.
